The client, a diverse conglomerate with multiple businessverticals, was struggling with delivery inefficiencies across its technologyteams. Though agile practices like sprints were in place, the organization wasunable to achieve meaningful delivery or show working increments at the end ofiterations.

We executed a 4.5-month engagement to build the foundation for sustainable agile delivery through structured interventions.

Phase 1: Foundation Building through Training and Mentoring

    • Established standard views for user stories, tasks,  defects, and acceptance criteria, ensuring transparency and clarity.
  2. Technical Debt Awareness:
    • Educated teams on recognizing and tracking technical  debts systematically within RallyDev.
    • Created a parallel backlog to monitor and address  debts proactively.

Phase 3: Fixing Delivery with Integration Sprints

  1. Dedicated Integration Sprint:
    • Introduced a structured Integration Sprint focused solely on integrating work from all teams and validating it end-to-end.
    • Ensured that no feature was considered “done” until  it was integrated and demonstrated functioning correctly.
  2. Showcasing Working Increments:
    • Structured sprint reviews with stakeholders where  integrated, tested increments were demonstrated at the end of each sprint.
    • Shifted focus from “completing tasks” to “delivering value.”
